ONLINE ORDERING IS BEST – The best way to order is via this web site. Simply select a category and/or product from the menu to the left, and add it to your shopping cart to order. When you are done shopping, you can “Check out” and enter your ship to address and your credit card information.

When Ordering:

Although the best method of ordering is online (via our online shopping cart), we do accept written or phone orders, with or without purchase order numbers, from Professional Costume shops, Repertory Theatres, Universities, Civic Theatres, Children’s and High School Drama Departments. Prices are subject to change without notice.

Sales Tax:

Richard the Thread will automatically calculate and charge the applicable sales tax for orders to be delivered to addresses within California. Out of state customers shall be solely responsible for all sales taxes, customs fees, or any other taxes.

Payment Method and Terms:

We accept Visa, Master Card, and American Express for all online orders – Visa, Master Card, American Express, cash or check for our customers visiting the shop. For customers with prior credit approval – we offer terms of NET 30 days.

Shipping Methods:

Shipping fees will be calculated after you submit your order, and charged separately to your account. This allows us to give you the best possible shipping rates, We do not mark up our shipping fees. What we pay for shipping – you pay for shipping. Because of new Credit Card Processing regulations – we will charge your credit card the next business day for shipping.

Richard the Thread ships all orders – FOB origin. This indicates that the buyer pays shipping cost, and takes responsibility for the goods when the goods leave out distributor’s premises. IF a shipment is lost and does not arrive we will be happy to help open an investigation with the shipping carrier – however any investigation will have to concluded and all claims settled before we can have our distributor send out a replacement shipment.
